It's Friday and you know what that means... Fab Friday over on the Sisters in Stamping blog!! This week we're featuring the Delightful Decorations stamp set, matching ornament punch, Sparkle and Shine jumbo wheel and coordinating Merry & Bright rub-ons from the Holiday Mini catalog.
Here is my submission - a gift tag and notecard set that fits in the cute little purse along with a matching card. Add some chocolates and this would make a great little gift for someone! My sister Cindy made me one of these purses earlier this summer and I loved it and had to create one myself. I went for a totally outside-of-my-comfort-zone color combination... melon mambo, tempting turquoise and orchid opulence with this set. Funny thing is, I *really* like it! I started with a full sheet of whisper white and stamped all over it with the 3 smaller images from the Delightful Decorations stamp set, just like when creating a One Sheet Wonder. I then cut it up and used it on all the projects - easy-peasey! Add some melon mambo polka-dotted ribbon and solid colored cardstock in the 3 colors and the whole thing just comes together!
Here are the gift tags... all I did was stamp the ornament image tag stamp from the set with my 3 colors on whisper white and then punched them out with the ornament punch. I punched a small hole in each and threaded crochet yarn through the hole so that they could be easily tied onto a bow or ribbon on a gift box or bag. The set of tags was slipped into a small cello bag that I had filled with a piece of tempting turquoise and the stamped decorative paper. I then punched a hole in the top with the small oval punch and tied it closed with a piece of the melon mambo polka-dotted ribbon.
These little notecards are great for slipping in a gift. They are 2-3/4" square and fit nicely into the little box I created with 2 scallop envelopes that I diecut with my Big Shot. I trimmed down the bottom edge of the envelopes to 1/2" and just attached the two together to form the box. I embellished it with the polka dotted ribbon and a piece of the decorated paper. Each card has a stamped/punched ornament and strip of coordinating cardstock. Super fast to create and easy to duplicate.
Pictured above is the purse filled with the gift card and tag sets. I created it with a white lunch bag that I cut down as the base - it closes with a piece of velcro. You can see one of the gift tags tied onto the ribbon handle, isn't it cute? And here is a close-up of the ornament embellishment from the purse which is duplicated on the card. I used a 2-way glue pen and dazzling diamonds on the snowflake and then added a clear rhinestone brad in the center to "bling" it up.
I hope you like my Fab Friday project! I had a lot of fun with this one and look forward to next week's featured product. Please be sure and check out the Sisters In Stamping blog at noon here to see what my fellow Sisters came up with using these great products from the Holiday mini!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend! I am planning to work on my swap for Founder's Circle all weekend. Wish me luck - I have to make 130!!!! I am excited about leaving on Wednesday next week, but am running out of time to complete my swap, yikes ~
