Welcome to another edition of Fabulous Friday - today on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are focusing on new accessories from the Idea Book & Catalog that just debuted this month (don't have one yet - contact me to see how you can get one for FREE!). I am featuring some of the fabulous new punches on my project - they are so much fun!!
This is the card I created using the brand new 2-step owl and dotted ribbon scallop border punches. The breast piece on the owl is punched from a scrap of DSP from the Greenhouse Gala pack and the sentiment comes from the Occasional Quotes hostess level 3 stamp set. I pulled all the colors for the card (peach parfait, baja breeze, chocolate chip and pear pizzazz) from the DSP piece. The stem that my owl is perched on is from the 2-step bird punch (so happy this punch made it into the big catalog - remember it from the Occasions mini?).
Here is a close-up of my owl - I loved getting all the pieces from a single punch! It's a great way to use up your scraps of cardstock and DSP!! A little tip - I found the easiest adhesive to use with these tiny little pieces was my 2-way glue pen and tweezers from my old Crafter's tool kit helped, too!
