This week on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are focusing on the new colors that were released earlier this month with the new Color Renovation. One of my personal new favorites is Daffodil Delight - it is such a warm and buttery yellow and it just makes me happy!
My card this week was designed using one of my new favorite stamp sets - Aviary. Is it not the cutest? The little birdies crack me up - they are just too cute - and I love the assortment of bird cages, too!! My friend Renee (Hi Renee!!) helped me choose the color palette at the pool yesterday (yes, sometimes I am productive at the pool!) and I really like it - daffodil delight, baja breeze (a returning In Color) and old olive (a core color). We were checking out the new Color Coach - the large swatches of color really make it easy to choose great color combinations!
In addition to the Aviary stamp set, I used the new Pretty Pattern background stamp as well the On Your Birthday stamp set for the sentiment. Embellishments on the card include the new daffodil delight 1/8" taffeta ribbon and bling from the new Basic Rhinestones pack. If you haven't used these yet, they are fantastic - the adhesive is already on the backs of the rhinestones and they are really bling-y in real life (I don't think you can fully appreciate it from the photo above)! The stamped panel is popped up from the card using stampin' dimensionals (I love these!!). I needed a birthday card for my downline Tammy (Happy Birthday, Tammy!) and this card is headed her way.
