Welcome to Fabulous Friday - I've got a great little project to share with you that I designed for the Sisters in Stamping blog. This week we are focusing on the fabulous new Designer Series Paper packs in our new catalog. I decided to create a cute box with matching note cards featuring the Lap of Luxury DSP and used the coordinating colors of very vanilla, pretty in pink, basic gray and concord crush. I had seen a tutorial for this project several years ago here and loved it.
Here is a picture of the box open - isn't it cute? It holds little 3" x 3" note cards.
There are two different note card designs in the box - I used the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set for my images and "thank you" sentiment. Wouldn't this be a great teacher gift for the first day of school - especially if there were some Ghirardelli square chocolates hidden inside? I just used left over pieces of the DSP along with pretty in pink, concord crush, basic gray and very vanilla card stock to create these. The pinking hearts border punch was used on two of the cards to match the box lid design. You are probably wondering about the basic gray punch design on the pretty in pink card - that is a BRAND NEW punch that will be available on Sept. 1st in our Holiday Mini catalog. It is called the XL Decorative Label punch and you are going to LOVE it!! The scallop oval fits so nicely inside it. I normally don't sneak peek products but I had to use this one on my card... sorry. Just a few more weeks and you can order it, I promise!
Here is a photo of the complete ensemble... I had fun making this project and look forward to offering a a class with it sometime soon. Please be sure and check out my calendar of events... I'll be adding fall classes to my schedule in the next few days once my kids are all back in school (HURRAY!).
Thanks for visiting today - please be sure and visit the Sisters in Stamping blog after Noon EST today to see the other great projects featuring our DSP. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and have the opportunity to play with some Designer Paper!!
