This week on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are celebrating Halloween fun by creating fabulous treat containers. I decided to utilize my Big Shot to create a treat holder that I'll be teaching in my upcoming Wicked Cool Halloween class.
This project comes together quickly and easily using the Big Shot Fancy Favor Box bigz xl die. I used a sheet of old olive card stock cut to 12" x 5-1/4" and ran it through - it cut and scored all at the same time. I next used my 1-3/4" circle punch to cut out a hole in the front of the box.
The stamped image is from the Sweet Centers stamp set. I stamped the Halloween image with jet black StazOn ink onto whisper white card stock and then trimmed it with my paper snips. I then took a 1-1/4" circle punch and punched out the "eek" from the center. I added this to the the front of the favor box, lining up the holes. I filled a small cello bag with candy corn and put it into the box so you can see it peeking through.
To embellish the bag, I took the "Eek" sentiment and layered it onto a 1-3/8" circle of old olive card stock and then put that onto a scallop circle punched out of pumpkin pie card stock. I added a rhinestone to the top of the spider's web just because I love bling!
The final thing I did to the box was to pinch it closed on top and use my crop-a-dile to punch a hole through both layers. I threaded a piece of pumpkin pie striped ribbon through the top and tied it in a knot. Easy-peasy, right?!
Thanks for visiting - don't forget to hop on over to the Sisters in Stamping blog today after Noon EST to check out the other fabulous Halloween treat containers this week!

Debbie, I really like this treat bag and gives a while different perspective to this stamp set, I did not appreciate it as much till I saw this. Great colors and cool project over all!
