This week on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are featuring projects made using our favorite stamp sets from the new Summer Mini catalog that just started this week. No doubt my favorite stamp set by far is the Fabulous Florets stamp set and I just love the coordinating Beyond the Garden DSP!
My card above was one I created for my team meeting last night as the make-n-take. I wanted to get a sample of the colored embossing powder in their hands so designed this card to highlight the melon mambo powder. The colors are pulled from the DSP pack - wild wasabi, pacific point and melon mambo. Don't they just scream SUMMER?! In addition I used some whisper white satin ribbon that I gathered on the card using a piece of sticky strip double-sided adhesive and embellished the DSP strip using the scallop border trim punch.
Here's a close-up of the embossed flower - can you believe I cut it out?! The flower is popped up with some Stampin' Dimensionals. Luckily I only have to make a few of these cards for my long-distance downline and those who participated in our swap this month but couldn't join our meeting.
