Have you noticed that we're taking a catalog tour over on the Sisters in Stamping blog? Two weeks ago we featured stamp sets found in the "Occasions" section and last week we focused on our "Growing Up" section. This week we are heading over to the "All Natural" section found on pages 97 - 124. This is, by far, my favorite area of the catalog because I absolutely L-O-V-E floral stamps and it happens to be my week to host the SIS blog post so that worked out great.
The card above was created around this flower that I made after looking through the catalog for my catalog CASE swap next month with my downline. I happened to choose the Best Friends Forever card sample on page 90 for my swap and decided I really liked the color combination of concord crush, lucky limeade and melon mambo (I am finding it very difficult to photograph the gorgeous deep purple color of the concord crush flower with my camera - in real life it is a stunning color combination!). I absolutely loved the flower on the petal cone sample on the same page and designed a card around it. I decided to use the Friends Never Fade stamp set for my card because it is a favorite of mine and one I have not used in a while. The 3-d flower fit perfectly on the sentiment stamped with lucky limeade... this new In Color is a lighter and brighter version of old olive and one that I see myself using more and more. It is so easy to create this flower with the XL fancy flower punch - I punched out two layers from concord crush card stock and then crumpled them both up to give them lots of texture. The melon mambo smaller flower in the center is from the boho blossoms punch (also distressed) and the center is one of the antique brads (love these!). I added a stampin' dimensional between the two bottom flower layers and then put the brad all the way through all the layers (including the ribbon) to hold it all together. The "leaves" are made from a doubled over piece of lucky limeade ruffled ribbon. I wanted to mimic the stripes in the ribbon so used a strip of striped lucky limeade DSP from the new In Color stack. Can I tell you how much I love these DSP packs, too?! The concord crush ribbon border peeking out beneath is from the lace ribbon border punch. I stamped the flower image on the crumb cake background piece using crumb cake ink and then distressed it with my color spritzer tool and an early espresso stampin' write marker. The final touch was adding a knot of white organza ribbon. I like the way this card turned out and will use it for my Card of the Month Club class next month.
For more inspiration from the All Natural section, be sure and head over to the Sisters in Stamping blog after Noon EST today to see what Jacque, Rachel and Karla came up with this week. Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a wonderful weekend!

The colors are stunning! I love the ruffled ribbon used as leaves-cute.
