This week on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are featuring projects made using one of our favorite new stamp sets from the Occasions Mini catalog that debuted this week. I just fell in love with this typewriter set called You're Just My Type. With just two colors - basic red and chocolate chip - along with whisper white you can make this card very easily. The DSP is from the Brights stack and has polka dots on one side and words on the other. It adds just the right amount of interest to this very simple card. I created the flower embellishment using the triple layer blossom bouquet punch and small flower from Itty Bitty Shapes punch trio.
I have a private stamp-a-stack class this morning and some brand new stampers are coming so I wanted a clean and simple card that they could recreate easily and this fits the bill! Everyone can use a birthday card and if you wanted to make this one more masculine you could flip the DSP over to the side that has just words and eliminate the flower embellishment. I added a sentiment from the On Your Birthday to take up some of the white space left from where the flower embellishment is on the other card.
For more inspiration from our Occasions mini catalog, be sure and visit the Sisters in Stamping blog after Noon EST today. Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend! I'll be sharing the cards from my team Christmas Shoe Box swap meeting last month with you this weekend so be sure and come back... lots of great non-Christmas ideas!
