I just wanted to post a big "Thank You!" to everyone who stopped by my booth yesterday during the craft show - it was a big success. I had 2 other tables, but didn't get very good pictures of them because the lighting wasn't that great. I sold enough to justify the time spent and met a lot of new stampers so I'm excited. It was a really long day, but I always look forward to these events every Christmas - it helps me get a jumpstart on my gift-making so that we have gifts ready for teachers, coaches and friends since I never sell out of everything. I normally do 2 or 3 large craft shows but this year was only able to fit this one into our busy swim team schedule.
Here are some pictures of the Christmas "fudge" I made - it's about the closest I'll ever get to making fudge, LOL! It is actually a wrapped giant Hershey bar with almonds - I looked for the Symphony bars with toffee but the store was sold out so I made do with these. I used the retired Dasher DSP that I found when clearing out my retired items along with the Sweet Season snowflake for the tag and the Christmas tree and reindeer from Sparkly & Bright for the back on the poem. I like how they turned out and have enough left over for the 5 coaches on the swim team along with snowman soup and some other hand-stamped items. I'll have to come up with a clever way to package it all!
And here's another fun item - snowman seeds. Last year I made reindeer poop (using Whoppers) but thought I'd do something different this year. I used the Two Cool Dudes stamp set for the bag topper on these bags of mini marshmallows. I like these so much I think they are going to be my swap for my downline meeting this month - the theme is Winter Wonderland (no Christmas allowed) and I think these fit the theme nicely. We're really hoping for snow this year... we may have to sprinkle these outside when it gets colder!
Thanks for stopping by - I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
