Here are the last three submissions from this month's elegant invitations swap with my downline. They each feature the Manhattan Flowers texturz folder with the Big Shot.
This card, created by Jennifer Rawlings, would be great for an invitation to a special party, like a 25th anniversary or graduation. Although she used the now-retired Sale-a-Bration stamp set Whimsical Words, you could certainly use a sentiment from the Wedding Suite stamp set as a substitute. This color combination of chocolate chip, certainly celery and whisper white is quite untraditional, but I really like it. The ribbon is actually part of a belly band holding the card closed.
This swap was created by one of our newest demonstrators - Wendy Boothe - and is her first swap ever... didn't she do a fantastic job? I am not sure if you can tell, but she used shimmer paper and it is so shimmery in real life. The "You're Invited" sentiment from Sincere Salutations is heat embossed with silver and she colored and cut out the rose in the corner. What a wonderful mix of textures. Great job, Wendy!
This last submission is mine - I totally CASE'd this card created by Sonya for Craft Project Central (did you know that I'm going to be a guest designer later this month - I am SUPER-THRILLED and honored!!). The ribbon is loosely tied so it can be moved up and down to hold the card closed or allow it to open, as seen below. I designed this card thinking it could be used for a bridal shower, but wouldn't it be a good one for an after-prom party, too!
I really love this Blissful Bride stamp set in the Summer Mini catalog! The dress is simple yet elegant. All I did was add a touch of color to the ribbon and flowers using a pretty in pink stampin' write marker and then went over the lines of the dress with a 2-way glue pen and added dazzling diamonds. The invitation information is from the stamp set Introducing, which I earned for FREE during Sale-a-Bration!
Thank you for visiting today - I hope you found some inspiration from our swap this month. I'm looking forward to June's theme - watercoloring!
