I've been having fun working on Halloween projects the last couple of days (be sure and check back tomorrow for my Fabulous Friday project!) and pulling out things from last year that I could display again this year. I came across these pennants made with my Big Shot and the House of Haunts stamp set. The base of the pennant was cut out with the Bigz XL SU! Pennant die (one in only orange, the other in lovely lilac) and the image was stamped on a circle of whisper white cut out with the Clear Bigz die and matted with the Bigz Scallop Circle die in basic black. I attached them to a small dowel rod and tied ribbon on through holes punched out with my crop-a-dile... aren't they great? And best of all... super-easy! When running your cardstock through the Big Shot for the pennant, be sure and line up the fold correctly so that your pennant is the right shape when you open it up. Ribbon used is black gingham and 1/4" basic black grosgrain. Images were stamped with basic black and then sponged with the same ink. I applied 1-3/4" circles cut out from a post-it note over the moon before sponging so that they remained white and colored the windows of the house with a summer sun stampin' write marker. The area under the house was sponged with basic black and I embellished the scallops of the circle mat with a Uniball Signo white gel pen.
Here's another project I came across - it was from a Halloween Mom & Me class last October... a Frankenstein box. Isn't it cute? After putting the box together the face was created using a bunch of different punches: 1-3/4", 1-3/8" and 1" circle, small oval and round tab punches. Colors used are green galore, lovlely lilac, whisper white and basic black. The mouth was drawn on using both tips of the basic black stampin' write marker and the eye accents were drawn on using the Uniball Signo white gel pen. The sentiment in Frankie's hair is from the House of Haunts stamp set. I believe we filled a cello bag with candy corn and dropped it down into the boxes. A fun little Halloween favor that would be perfect to give your child's teacher or bus driver!
Thanks for stopping by, come back tomorrow for a fun Halloween banner!!
