Surely you know by now that the Big Shot is my very favorite crafting tool! This week for Fabulous Friday on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing ways to use the textured impressions folders with the Big Shot - adding texture to paper and other products is just about the coolest thing ever and it is so easy with these folders! My card above features the Northern Flurry folder - want to know how I achieved this look?
Unlike our card stock which has the color all the way through, our Designer Series Paper (DSP) has a white core. If you run a piece of DSP through a Big Shot with an impressions folder you can then lightly sand the raised image with a sanding block and reveal the white core... I thought that would be perfect with the snowflakes on this folder!
The color scheme of this card features my favorite In Color from last year - Island Indigo - and I used a piece of DSP from the In Color DSP Stack (what a fantastic value!). The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set and I used the large and scallop oval punches to feature the sentiment. Embellishing was kept simple with just a piece of the whisper white organza ribbon and a few rhinestone jewels. I love this card so much that it is going to be a club project for my Stamp club this month!
For even more inspiration with impressions folders, please be sure and hop on over to the Sisters in Stamping blog after Noon EST today! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
