Monday was my sister Cindy's birthday and I designed her card using the sketch on her blog for this month (Simply Paper Design Challenge #11). I will make another card later this month that features both the sketch and the Be of Good Cheer DSP, but I liked the sketch and wanted to use it for this card (you'll find it below). The gorgeous DSP on my card is called International Bazaar and the butterfly is from the Creative Elements stamp set. I inked it with daffodil delight ink first, then used a tangerine tango stampin' write marker to add color and then stamped it after huffing on the stamp to remoisten the ink. I cut it out (yes, I cut!) and popped it up on the diecut from the Apothecary Accents framelits set. Cindy loves bling so I added some rhinestone jewels to the butterfly. I hope she liked it... I'm afraid that with the Veterans Day holiday she probably did not get it on time. Sorry, Sis!
Why don't you play along and design a card using the sketch? Be sure to leave her a comment here with a link to your card and wish her a belated Happy Birthday, too!
Thanks for stopping by... I'll be sharing this Week's project for our Twelve Weeks of Christmas tutorial series tomorrow so please check back! Have a wonderful day!
