Happy Friday! We're excited to have our first snowfall of the winter - did you get any snow from the storm yesterday? This week on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are featuring Sale-a-Bration stamp sets since this huge promotion starts NEXT WEEK and I wanted to create something that feels warm and Spring-y with the Bloomin' Marvelous set. I used the hummingbird, flower and foliage images for my card.
I love using solid images as a silhouette and creating a sunset in the background using stampin' sponges and ink. Mine was created with daffodil delight, pumpkin pie and real red. I wanted to keep my card clean and simple so just layered the panel with basic black and daffodil delight card stock mats and added texture to the real red card base using the Woodgrain Big Shot impressions folder. The only embellishment is the very vanilla seam binding ribbon that I tied into a fork bow.
This card was inspired by this card that I made last year:
If you're free next Saturday, Jan. 26th, please join me at my Sale-a-Bration kick off party from Noon - 3 pm in my stamping studio! We're off to play in the snow...
