Happy Friday and thank you for stopping by today! This week for Fabulous Friday on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are featuring projects made with our favorite retiring stamp sets. I have so many that I will miss, but decided to use the Day of Gratitude stamp set for today's card because I just love the large flower image!
I used the emboss resist technique to achieve my focal image on my card and went with a fall color palette - night of navy, cajun craze, so saffron and very vanilla. The ribbon I chose is the blue 3/8" denim jean ribbon - it matches the night of navy so well - and added texture to the so saffron card stock with my Big Shot and the Square Lattice impressions folder. The "thank you" sentiment also comes from the Day of Gratitude stamp set - I inked it with night of navy and stamped it on very vanilla card stock. It was punched out with the word window punch and mounted on a mat cut with the modern label punch from night of navy card stock.
Here is a close-up of the flower... I embellished the center of the flower with a large basic pearl. If you want to purchase this stamp set, you only have a couple of weeks left to get it! Don't delay... you have until June 3rd to place your order. Hop over to my online store HERE or contact me to assist you with your order!!
