Happy Friday and thanks for stopping by! I don't know what it is like where you are, but we had snow last Sunday and by Wednesday we broke a record with a high of 88 degrees! I know the calendar shows it is Spring but I honestly think we jumped ahead right into Summer here in Central Virginia! Speaking of Spring, Karla wanted that to be the Fabulous Friday theme of our cards this week for the Sisters in Stamping blog. I think she is getting really tired of snow! I included both a butterfly and a flower in my card - two things that remind me of Springtime and both were created with my punches! I love punch art, don't you?!
Here is a close-up of the flower... it is identical to the one I made for last week's card, I just switched out the colors. I love it! Don't you love this black and white ikat designer paper?! It is from the Kaleidoscope DSP pack from the Occasions catalog and it is actually the back side of the paper I used last week (I had an extra scrap left on my table).
And here is a close-up of my butterfly embellishment... I layered both sizes of the butterfly punches and added texture with the Square Lattice impressions folder to add some texture and interest.
For even more Spring-inspired cards, be sure to hop on over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what Karla and Rachel created this week! Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!!
